Kim is our Veterinary Nurse who started out as a volunteer here as a high school student and then joined the team as a Veterinary Assistant in 2003. In 2006 Kim left to attend school at Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops to become a Veterinary Nurse and after working for one summer here, she moved to Saskatoon for 3 years to engage in studies to become a veterinarian. She has since moved back to British Columbia and will pursue her career as a veterinarian in the future. Kim has extensive experience working in emergency and critical care veterinary medicine. She lives with one extremely large canine companion; “Doris” who is her 3 year old merle Great Dane who loves to run as fast as she can on the farm, chasing all sorts of animals. Kim also has two feline companions; “Blueberry” is a cat she was fostering from the Fraser Valley Humane Society with a chronic urinary tract condition who she fell in love with and decided to keep, and “Batman” is a litter mate of Shelby’s cat “Loo”. Their litter of kittens was found abandoned while very young and after several months of feeding and raising them, Kim and Shelby decided to keep one kitten each.
